As a teacher for over 24 years, I have learned first hand that students don't all learn the same way. Integrating technology into the classroom is an effective way to connect with students of all learning styles. With technology surrounding their everyday lives, I strive to give them the best opportunities to display their knowledge in many different ways. When a student creates something on the computer and can hold it in their hands, it lets them know that what they learned and created is important. The poster maker would allow them to share what they learned in a presentation view for all to see! The laser engraver would help them create a tangible piece of art for them to cherish for years to come! Their creations will help them know that what they create matters and should be shared and celebrated. We create many projects in our classroom, however having just a regular printer limits their creativity. A poster maker (with paper refills) and a 3D printer would give them SUCH a feeling of success! I have many lessons where the 3D printer would be an incredible way to engage their interest! And give them something to call their own. My students also deal with a great amount of emotions, loss, trauma, and great moments. What better way to validate their feelings then to have a laser engraver for them to create works of art that can last a lifetime! Laser engravers can create works of art on wood. What a sturdy, tangible way for our students to share their pride in their work! I want my students to not only learn how to use technology every day, but learn in a fun, exciting, interactive
