I serve high-risk students from Flint, Michigan. Many times it is a struggle for students to get to school on time and consistently. I try and make Math as exciting as possible and keep students engaged. My school is in a high-poverty area, and many students lack basic classroom supplies. I always strive to get my students to think "outside the box" and solve math problems logically. They LOVE when we connect what they're learning to the real-world. They are an excellent group of hard-working, dedicated young people with ideas that will change the world.
