Our class motto is "It is ok not to know but its not ok not to try". My school is a Title 1 school with many needs. With the support of the community and staff we assist and encourage our students reach their individual goals and surpass any negative factors. My class consists of 2nd grade students with a wide range of learning levels. Most students are far below grade level and require direct adult support or guidance to accomplish grade level tasks.I begin each lesson by motivating and encouraging them to do their best. Students know there will be a celebration at the end of the lesson as long as they truly try. This results in team work and a mutual desire to be successful not only as an individual but as a class.
