My school is a very unique and amazing place that allows for its students to be creative using all aspects of the mind. We try to blend in a well balanced curriculum that allows them to get the core focus (math, science, ELA and history) as well as being able to enjoy the arts (gym, art, music, drama, debate, sports). Our students are also able to chose different electives courses that are targeted in their interests. My elective course is Yearbook and I have a line of students on the waiting list for next semester so that we can finish our yearbooks. I have a large group of enthusiastic students that are hard working and dedicated to making a mesmerizing yearbook. Although my school tries to get everything for our students, since we are an impoverished public school in Harlem, it is tough to get all of the items necessary to help them succeed to the level that our students deserve. Since my kids are so hardworking, I decided they deserve more which led me to request these items.
