Our school includes over 700 Pre-K through fourth grade students. We are located in a high poverty area which makes it a struggle to succeed in the current world of technology. My class consists of 20 second grade students with a wide range of abilities. They love technology and are constantly asking to use the computers. My classroom currently does not have enough computers to service these wonderful children who are struggling with Reading. About 60% of my class is below level in Reading. I want to help take away the frustration these kids have when it comes to District and State Reading test. Our school even has some programs that the students can access at home but unfortunately, some of them do not have the technology resources at home. School is their only means of technology.
