My students are learning on a daily basis how to help and care for one another. This includes literacy when we are partner reading. The first graders in my classroom truly enjoy reading books that interest them. Our school strives to provide resources for every student, but with a population of over 900 students this can be difficult. With nearly 64% of students receiving free/reduced lunch it is important for my school to have the needed materials to prepare our students for 21st century learning.
