After the pandemic many students returned to in person learning with gaps in both reading and math. The varied leveled books will be used for small group guided reading lessons and collaborative literature circles as my student learn about black history. While some students are collaborating and sharing their ideas in literature circles others will be working in small groups with the teacher. The reading and math activities will enhance independent work time during rotations in both reading and math. With the use of these educational activities the students will be engaged while having fun learning essential skills. Many of my students are below grade level in reading and math and with these activities the students will gain the confidence it takes to become successful readers and mathematicians.
