Our school is a combination of gifted students from 8 schools. Students travel to us via bus one day per week, so we never have the same students 2 days in a row. My students never cease to amaze me! They are creative and curious and super chatty! It's so much fun to watch the excitement each day as they learn new things. Our school is very different than regular classroom. We are able to spend time digging deeper into subjects. We can read, research and share about any topic we choose. This year we are studying architecture through the lens of multiple disciplines involved in any one structure. They can be a civil engineer or a real estate agent or architect or whatever they choose! They will learn what role their career choice plays in the development of our community and what they need to be successful in that particular field. Our theme this year is "building up our community". We will discuss and develop ways to build up our community, from playgrounds to homeless centers.
