I work with the academically gifted population at each of my schools. There is a surprising range of abilities and interests within this subset of the school population. Each school is just outside of Asheville, NC and draws kids from the small, tight-knit communities they serve. My students have unique talents and abilities, and many of my students are excited to be challenged in new ways and look for enrichment opportunities in and outside of school; these include competing in the state Math Fair, scouts, sports, dance, art programs and a host of others. My students are often leaders in their schools. I'm proud to work with such hard-working and unique kids.
