My students come from a high poverty area. They have limited resources, background knowledge, and experiences in reading and researching this time period in history. This is also a very high interest topic that students become very engaged in, as they often dream of being a knight or princess. What a rewarding opportunity to provide our students with this educational experience and help build on their dreams and creative minds to develop lifelong readers. We would be building the connection between the past and the present so they can be successful in the future. Our school library does not have the books to support this project and the research materials needed. Students enjoy reading about a variety of topics, and we need your help to purchase books for our Medieval England project.
