This project, if fully funded, will give my students the inspiration that they need to create unique pieces of art. I strive to incorporate literacy into every lesson I teach to give my students a love of reading and illustrating. I want my students to know that creating art can connect to the world around them for their entire lives. I am always amazed when students have independent time, they chose to read or draw from the images in books. My current class library has been well loved for many years. Many of our books are missing pages or have had many many repairs. It's also time to get new book in the library to spark even more creativity!
