My students love creating a newscasts to share with the school, but right now, we are using my phone. This makes it difficult for students to help in the filming and editing. An iPad with iMovie will let my kids film and edit the newscast so it is perfect to share! Each week we write a newscast and students each have their own section to write, research and produce. We then film the newscast and share it on Fridays with the entire student body and staff. This project gives students a sense of purpose and responsibility. Having a final product that can be shared and admired brings students joy and confidence.
