My students come for loving homes, but the parents are not able to fund the resources needed to help make a successful environment for all students to learn. In my classroom, I have many students who exhibit signs of AHDH and need an outlet for their overwhelming energy while they are in a tiny classroom with thirty other students. There is nowhere to move and not enough time in the day to take the adequate breaks that are needed for them to refocus. Many of my students come from backgrounds where they go to school seven days a week due to religious reasons. They don't have any time to deposit their built up energy and often get into trouble for being impulsive. In addition, I have eight special education students who receive services from a variety of resources. They need the necessary equipment to make the core of their body strong so that they are able to enhance their muscle tone in all areas.
