The majority of my students have been born and raised in rural Iowa. Many live on farms, and almost all of them live in the country. My students thrive on social interaction and movement. Our school is a 1A school with approximately 35 students in each grade. In the past few years there has been a lot of turnover with the staff, which has had a negative impact on the students' school pride. The current staff is really pushing to improve the way our kids view school and to fill gaps that the turnovers caused.
