I teach a group of 23 fourth-grade students at a Sheltered English Immersion school in Boston, Massachusetts. My class consists of a diverse group of students including students on IEPs and ELLs. Our district is in the process of moving towards inclusive practices in all schools. Instruction must accommodate and meet the needs of all learning styles. Several of my students come from homes where English is not the primary language. Our school also has a high percentage of students who come from low income and single parent homes. All students receive free breakfast and lunch. Many students in my class need to improve academically in literacy and math. All of them will benefit from the use of technology in the classroom. I need materials to incorporate it in my instruction. My students work hard, are determined, and have set goals for improvement. By supporting us, you can help my students successfully reach their goals!
