These supplies and kits will be used to teach middle school students how to solder. My students want to be able to build all kinds of electronics. We currently go through basic computer coding, but have not had the physical creations to follow. Students will learn how to solder so that they can take their basic coding knowledge to the next level via creation of custom electronics. Through these kits students will have the hands-on opportunity to create working electronic devices to take home. These devices are the key to student involvement. When students can "get something" they are much more likely to increase effort. Once students have the ability to solder their only limitation will be their imagination! Who knows what these future inventors can come up with.
