The students in our class are kids are on the autism spectrum or with otherwise intellectual challenges. Some have language skills that allow them to communicate orally and others need augmented communicationOur school is a Peace school and students are encouraged to take action to make our world better. Given the opportunity to practice recycling will give them provide them with the skills to continue to recycle in other areas outside the school campus. I would like for the students to generalize recycling attributes to other areas. Currently, many classrooms discard everything into a single container. Our plan is to label the recycle containers with a list of items that should be recycled. We'll label the trash can and the items that should be thrown away as well. We want to spearhead the effort to make our school a greener place. We will post signs and lead by example. We will recognize classrooms and staff.
