Many of my students have Autism Spectrum Disorder. I work with my co-teacher daily to help each of my students on their individual education journey. Each student is very different and unique in their own way. My students have a wide range of abilities. Some of them are working on learning their letters and others are at grade level in most subjects. Some of my students must be encouraged to be verbal and others struggle with appropriate social behavior. Almost all of my students need a high level of adult supervision throughout the school day. They join their general education peers as much as possible when appropriate throughout the day. They are well loved by their classmates and this is a friendship that cannot be broken or described. Our high needs classroom is embraced by our school community.
