Our alternative school offers 26 different career pathways for students. We focus on hands-on learning in all our classes, and place great emphasis on student engagement. Students love attending out school because we encourage creativity through relevant projects and learning. We have one of the most culturally diverse school districts in the country, and our students are drawn from all over the city. We are definitely a melting pot. I believe entrepreneurship is the great equalizer. My goal is to inspire my students to one day create and develop their own businesses, and to use this power to make our world a better place. Social responsibility and a strong foundation of ethics form the foundation of my class. Entrepreneurship teaches students the importance of working together as a team to achieve a worthwhile goal. By working in teams, students learn to recognize and validate the individual gifts and contributions of their peers. Again, entrepreneurship is the great equalizer.
