Ours is a very diverse school, representing children from all ends of the economic, social, and cognitive spectrum. Many of my students come with great need. There are students in our school community who cannot walk, yet are constantly exploring the world around them. Than there are students who are struggling with attention or anger issues, who have moments of extraordinary kindness and clarity. Our music classroom is overflowing with talent, energy, and personality. These beautiful children are experimenting with the person they will become. It is my hope that I might provide them with the tools to travel this journey, through building rich and quality musical experiences for them. I constantly seek out 'hands on' musical experiences which will help guide them through their daily experiences, and show them how to use music for positive change in their lives.
