I am dedicated to increasing interest and inquiry skills in science. My class is lab based and we center each investigation on a problem with independent and dependent variables. I have the students write lab reports, take data, graph and analyze results supporting common core and NGSS standards. The students are always excited for lab day and I find attendance is always high. Materials for labs can be costly and most of it comes out of my pocket. Worse yet is the fact that the equipment provided is very old and has a lot of wear with no budget for replacements.
