Scholastic News will help students with reading and writing skills. We will use the magazines during group time. Students will learn social science, too. Using Science Spin will reinforce reading skills and students will learn science, especially now that we don't have STEM anymore. According to our curriculum, students are expected to develop an understanding of the similarities and differences of organisms’ life cycles. They will find out that organisms have different inherited traits, and that the environment can also affect the traits. Moreover, students will learn that when the environment changes some organisms survive and reproduce, some move to new locations, some move into the transformed environment, and some die. There are many project opportunities we will be able to complete just by reading Science Spin and conducting research 3.LS-2.1
