A lot of people ask me what is the hardest part of teaching kindergarten. Believe it or not , it is not the ones who cry or try to make a run for it during those first weeks of school. It's not even the ones who who confuse letters for numbers at the beginning of the year. What is the most difficult thing is helping English Language Learners develop their listening and speaking skills in English. I teach a full day Kindergarten to 20 English Language Learners in Southern California. I have them for 195 school days from 8am to 3pm
