My students will start the school year with an engaging and inviting environment. The students will have hands on learning to keep them engaged and feel a sense of accomplishment. The students will be encouraged to participate in shared writing on the easel as they sit on the individual mats. The students will build their self confidence when working in small groups using literacy centers. The children will build on cooperation skills helping and guiding each other in whole group and small group centers. As an an educator I want to promote an environment that encourages taking risks and feeling successful and being part of a learning community.
