Our class would benefit from 25 copies of Bound for Oregon and Sign of the Beaver. Each novel study can be easily integrated into our social studies curriculum covering Native Americans and the Western Movement. In addition, both novel studies provide rich and enlightening conversations that cover many of our English Language Arts Common Core State Standards. I want my students to leave fourth grade as active readers who reflect, connect, and interact with text and develop a lifelong love for literature. I know I can achieve this using engaging literature and integration. Your support will not only benefit this year’s students, but future students for years to come. Thank you for your consideration and generosity.
