Our school has very high expectations, and one way we encourage a positive community is by implementing "Fill Buckets." I teach first grade students, so the filling bucket concept really seems to have a positive impact on their success. In order to fully implement this program, students are in need of buckets, pocket charts, and organizers so that they can have a visual of their success and positive behaviors. My first grade students are very energetic and eager to learn. They have caught on to the concept of filling and dipping in buckets very quickly, but I know that it would have an even bigger impact if they were to have their own buckets and materials. If they could actually visualize their very own bucket filling up, I believe it would be even more successful. Then they will have the opportunity to actually physically fill buckets, and I can just imagine their excitement, and perseverance to fill others buckets.
