As an educator and lifelong reader, there's nothing more exciting than watching children become hooked on reading. "Superheroes" is our school's theme this year and I have two groups of third graders, eighteen in the morning and eighteen in the afternoon who are my superheroes. I tell my students everyday that their superpower is READING and that they can become SUPER READERS! But even the best superhero often needs a little boost of technology. The school I work in is a Title I school and about one third of my students are learning English as a Second Language. Many of the students I teach do not have access to a computer or the Internet at home. All students need the opportunity to improve their reading skills through district approved computer programs on a consistent basis. Please help my students become Super Readers. Your support will be greatly appreciated.
