Students with ADHD often struggle to stay on task in a traditional classroom sitting. Simply redirecting them non-stop to do something that is not natural for them can cripple their self-esteem. As a teacher of 130 students of which 30 are special needs, I know all too often what this can look like in a classroom. These standing desks will allow my students the freedom to stand and move around, while still being able to complete their assigned activities. They do this to some degree now, but they are often bent over the table trying to work leading to undue stress to their back.
