My students are learning English. These children are not only entering the country with no English to limited English, but their families are usually non-English speakers. The speed with which these students learn English often produces a positive ripple effect by taking what they have learned at school and serving as translators for parents and other family members. Furthermore, it is important that my students learn English to catch up with their peers in the regular classroom. I am requesting language practice games to which I will incorporate into my instruction to strengthen the lessons and improve learning. These educational games will keep my students engaged while helping them understand new concepts, as well as practice skills they have already learned. Some games can be modified to focus on targeted areas, which emphasize listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
