My students are delightful 6 year old 1st graders. Our school is located in a busy, urban area and a majority of my students are from low income, working class homes. 85% of them receive free or reduced price lunches and the majority of them are also English language learners. Many of my them are academically at risk but they still come to school every day, excited to learn!.
