Our school is a school in Hillsborough County serving students in 6th through 8th grade, with a population of around 100 students. The school is unique, not only because of its small size, but also its student demographics. Ninety-eight percent of the student population is eligible to receive free or reduced price lunch, and over 90% of students reside in single parent households. In spite of their socioeconomic conditions the students are performing better and surpassing those in many traditional public schools. At our school, we have pledged to deliver programs to increase the critical success of our children. Our mission is to provide educational programs and services that foster improved academic success and wellness. To do this, we must have funding that will support our efforts.
