Teaching can be difficult for many because students are wise enough to know that not everything learned in the classroom can be easily applied outside of school. Students are not always as perceptive when it comes to the "long game". Many things that students focus on are "here and now". This makes seeing the lesson on interest less interesting. With the equipment donated, I can help my students to bridge the gap between the future and the here and now. Virtual Reality creates a field Trip in the classroom and it opens doors for discussions that can be entirely more impactful than just researching articles or pictures online. Many students will benefit from exposure to math related VR platforms and how math affects decisions that they probably didn't recognize they made when they used a concept of math to gain knowledge or success while completing tasks.
