Our school does not have basic instruments to help make music. These instruments are for students with little to no musical understanding. The students will learn basic music theory where they can make their own music. There are projects within our program where students will need to make their own music. Since we are an arts academy it is important to give all students a strong foundation in all the art strands. These instruments will help strengthen the music class that already exists, which has only been music appreciation. I want my students to make music rather than just learning about great composers.
