First of all I teach Language Arts in the fifth grade. I have the best two classes of students anyone could possibly ask for. Our school is a high poverty Title One school and I feel that for me to help my students successful, I need as much help as I can receive. I am determined to go the distance and ask for donations just like my students go the distance for me by studying and showing me that they want to learn. I constantly tell my students that they have the potential to be successful as long as they have the heart and drive to do it for themselves. I will admit it is hard to some days to continue to state this simple fact because of financial obligations to be able and buy the things that these students need. They are the best students that anyone could ever ask for.
