Our students come to school from poverty homes. Our largest population is a blend of indigenous and Spanish-speaking students from Mexico who work in various aspects of agriculture most of whom are field workers. These students are hardworking, bilingual, and hopeful for a better future. However, many of our students struggle to perform in the traditional academic formats. Through this project, I hope to empower students to discover they are powerful beyond measure and to understand there are many different ways in which their voice can impact the world.

About my class
