In my past years, my students have been 1-to-1 with Chromebooks, and I see them as essential to my future 6th graders' learning experience. I start each day by connecting with the students through a Google Form "Morning Survey" where students can tell me how they're feeling and respond to questions based on previous instruction. My students collaborate daily on Google Classroom using Google Docs and Google Slides for innovative projects. They use Chromebooks to have online debates via Flipgrid. They review for quizzes and tests using Kahoot! as an engaging and educational game. Additionally, I teach using a workshop model and use Google Forms daily to check where my students are across all subject areas so I can create new targeted instruction groups. By using the Chromebooks, I can better meet all of my students' unique instructional needs. In today's technologically advanced world, it is imperative my 6th graders can use Chromebooks daily to collaborate and innovate. By donating to this project, you will help my students transform into independent thinkers and prepare them for both higher education and their future careers.
