My students are second graders who come from low socioeconomic homes. Some are raised by one parent, a grand parent, aunts or uncles. My students often come to school unprepared for the day ahead due to lack of resources. My students desire for academic success grows everyday. Quirky, serious, or social, all of my students want the same thing; to expand their knowledge and to have the tools to help them get there.
