A class set of binoculars will be available for students to choose as an activity. We have a butterfly garden outside of our back door. A student can choose to go out on their own and watch for butterflies, bees, and ladybugs. Binoculars will also give us a chance to walk around the campus looking for birds. I have them count how many different birds they can find. When we take this walk on multiple occasions, students will start to notice other things, like the change in the seasons (in the trees and sky). These binoculars will be use for many years to come.
