We currently use whiteboards in our classroom during math to show our work on the daily math tasks. My students love their whiteboards, but the markers are always going missing, kids are using their sleeves to clean them off, and after using them, so many times the marks from the markers don't always come off. We still use the boards, even with the issues whiteboards can have, because the students love to show and share the work they have done on their tasks. These tablets will help students avoid missing a task because their marker was lost/dried out or miss counting their math model because there is a mark on the board which was never able to be removed. We will also use these writing tablets to answer questions in class discussion, create math problems, parking lot something a student really needs to share, and share our work around the room. These tablets allow us to be environmentally friendly by not using loose leaf paper to create and answer problems. The tablets can be erased easily by students when they are done, but also have a feature that allows them to lock what they are doing, so it does not disappear before they have time to share. My students love being able to share the work they have done and this will enhance their sharing experience.
