About 70% of the students in my school are in foster care. My students are loving, caring and seek approval from their teachers. They require a tremendous amount of attention. They love to play, talk and learn about new things. My school is a community that strives for all students to succeed and we promote parent participation. Students at my school mostly live in the surrounding low income housing projects and lack the resources they need to succeed academically. Most students aren't exposed to a lot outside the community they live.
