Turn struggling readers into fluent readers with technology! I teach 3rd grade in a school with a unique population of students. Our community houses a college which offers post graduate degrees and draws in many foreign students as well as students with young families. As a result, our elementary school serves many families who value education, but have low socio-economic backgrounds and not much time work with their children on academics. In addition we are in a rural area that has many families who don't value education and have low socio-economic backgrounds and either a lack of desire or a lack of time to work with their children on academics. This combination provides for an interesting group of students who are capable of learning, but struggle more than the average population of students.
