My students are a great mix, representing the awesome diversity of New York City. The majority of my students are first generation Americans, and roughly a third are English Language Learners, meaning that English is not their primary language. In science, I teach most classes using a Powerpoint to help my students see the content, and best follow the lesson. I also like to show short videos to help the students interact with the material. Due to an unfortunate incident that happened a few weeks ago, I have very limited access to laptops in my classroom, and I no longer have a working computer. I have been using my personal computer in class, but after an incident involving a student's Arizona Iced Tea, I am trying to find an alternative computer!
