Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. During library, the students get to choose a seat for their time they are in my class. Currently, I do not have enough seats for all the students and some are sitting on the rug in the middle of the room rather than in a "fun" seat. Making sure students are comfortable is an essential component in motivating them. I have noticed amazing differences in my students when they are given a choice in their seating. They almost always make good choices about where they sit, are more engaged, and are quite while I am reading because they don't want to lose the privilege of sitting in the seat they chose for the day. The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them additional seating options to make more effective learning choices. The stools are the perfect height for some tables that I have purchased to add to the library. I believe the seats I have chosen, will be beneficial to all students that are part of our school in that they are safe and sturdy and the students that have some physical challenges will be able to use them as they are easy to get in and out of. I believe these chairs will provide additional comfortable floor seating options. They are lightweight and can be easily used in many areas of the library.
