I do not have enough technology in my classroom and the 5 iPads that I've requested will greatly increase my student's chances in engaging with programs that will increase their literacy skills through the use of a plethora of reading programs. "We need technology in every classroom and in every student and teacher's hand because it is the pen and paper of our time, and it is the lens in which we experience most of our world." David Warlick Many of my students are English Language Learners who also come from low socio-economic backgrounds. I would love to be able to even the playing field in my classroom through the use of technology for those who do not have access to it at home. Engaging them in meaningful experiences through the use of motivating literacy apps will help them increase their love of reading.
