Our school is a K-8 school that offers a wide range of specials and exploratory activities. We are an innovation school and focus our attention on project-based learning. Within these projects we like to emphasize science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics. We follow the 5 C's of 21st Century Learning in that we ask our students to become Critical Thinkers, Collaborators, Communicators, Creators, and Citizens. We want them to become an integral part of the community both inside and outside of the school. Our students come from a diverse background, which only helps. Often students are here for their entire elementary and middle school career and therefore create a very strong bond with the teachers and faculty of the school. As an art teacher, where I see every student each year, I can say that the feeling is mutual.
