A LEGO table will provide many learning experiences for my students. It is amazing to think that what some see as merely a toy can be such an important learning tool. In first grade, my students will view their work at the LEGO table as play; however, it will complement and enhance their academic development in numerous ways. Working with LEGOS will give my students an opportunity to find multiple solutions to spatial challenges and encourage collaboration through trial and error as they construct new ideas. The students will discuss new solutions to open-ended problems, explore multiple perspectives and reflect on their learning.
