This year we are adding binders to our materials as a way to promote organization skills. When kids transition into middle school they often struggle with keeping all of their work organized and neat. The addition of binders allows them the opportunity to learn organization skills that they can use for the rest of their life. Organization offers students a chance at directly controlling their materials and work presentation. Often times, classwork gets shoved into a backpack or folder into tiny designs and lost forever. By providing the binders and teaching them how to put things in a specific order, they will be able to see their work long term.
