I have not taught the students yet and only know of four that I will get in August. The students that I have met are very loving students. They struggle to share their needs, whether it be how they feel or what they want. One student partially knows one sign language for "more" and that is his extent of his communication. Another student can point to three visual signs to express his needs, but is not always consistent. Another student is able to write three letters, but still cannot verbalize his needs. Lastly, the final student that I know of, has no way currently to communicate. The total number of students that I will have can be a total of ten. I was told that I will have the non-verbal population.
