The students in my classroom are just that, students. They are there to learn and grow and develop. We are different than most, but that doesn't mean less than most. Each child has their own way of learning, and may face many obstacles. I have student who are deaf/hard of hearing, students with autism, students who are cognitive delayed, students with ADHD, students who are living at poverty level, students who are emotionally disturbed and I've even gotten to learn about something called Chromosome 18q deletion thanks to my students. Despite the challenges, I have a crew of hard working kids who are full of love and hugs and giggles. I'm a very lucky human.
