These books will help my students see themselves in the books they read, as well as catch their interest. Because I have such a diverse classroom population, the types of books they like (and can read comfortably) are varied. For the past few years, I've worked hard to collect and organize books in our library. Especially as we move into more in-person school, having access to high quality, high interest books, is essential. We know that, the more we read, the better at reading we become. And, the more students read, the better writers they become, too. I want to help my students develop a love of reading like never before.
